Entropia Codex

Codex Recommendation: Looter and Evasion Skills

The Looter and Evader professions are the most important skillsets, in my opinion, in Entropia Universe. When you are rewarded with Codex progress, you should choose Perception and Anatomy when available for raising your Looter Profession, and Alertness when available for raising both your Looter plus your Evader Profession. You can optionally choose Evade, Athletics, and Courage if you are looking specifically for more Evade and Dodge. When you gain an Attribute Challenge level, selecting Stamina and Intelligence are your best options. Stamina is the slowest natural attribute and it is also the best way to gain Health Points, Intelligence will even further increase your Looter Profession.

There are also what we call set 4 codex rewards from certain creatures. This means they have Analysis, Biology, and Zoology, in ranks 5, 15, and 25 – it is suggested that you take those in that order, depending how many points you have in each. (Analysis > Biology > Zoology)

Skill point values in Entropia are not linear. This means, as you gain points in a skill line, it becomes more difficult to gain the next point. The codex can be used as a way to stack looter / evade / and quickly gain some levels when you are first starting out – but as you reach higher levels in your primary skill(s) and the gains become slower on the lower codex challenge levels, also consider it as a good way to “catch up” some of your lower level skills as you will see more points per PED reward.

There is a theory that Looter Professions represent a +0% to +7% increase in loot size from level 0 to level 100 (+0.07% per level) when looting the creature type associated with a given looter profession.

If the above statement is true, my theory on how the Looter Profession works is as follows: As you approach level 100 in the Looter Profession, you have an increased frequency of UP TO 7% increased TT loot with each loot instance. Regardless, I do not think it is a flat % increase based on your looter level. I think RNG is involved in the same way that loot size on that kill is involved.

A note about Evader Profession: Creatures have a minimum hit rate. No matter what level evader you are, you will never be Neo in The Matrix, even against L0 creatures.

If you are going to track returns, I suggest this companion tool: EntropiaTally
